Patty Jones was named assistant director/assistant chair for the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program on the Holmes Community College Grenada Campus. She has been a member of the Holmes ADN faculty since 2009, and will continue to teach, as well. Jones was previously employed by Holmes County Hospital in Lexington.
A Bulldog alumna, she finished the ADN program at Holmes in 1998. Jones also earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Durant, the Mississippi Organization of Associate Degree Nursing, the National League of Nursing and the Holmes Grenada Campus Faculty Association.
Jones and her husband, Grady, have two children: Scotty Jones (Mandy) and Michelle Burrell (Chris). They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with grandchildren.
“Holmes Community College will always be a special place for me,” Jones said. “I received my ADN from Holmes which afforded me many opportunities I could never have dreamed of. As nursing faculty and now assistant director, I get to play a part in preparing future nurses who will hopefully impact healthcare for our surrounding communities.”
