Shelby Turner joins Holmes family as a biology instructor

Shelby Turner joined the Holmes Community College family as a biology instructor on the Ridgeland Campus.  

A Bulldog alumna, Turner holds an associate degree from the Holmes Goodman Campus, a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Mississippi State University and a master’s in biomedical sciences from The University of Mississippi Medical Center. 

She is also an active member of Sallis Baptist Church and in her free time enjoys singing, shopping and spending time with family and friends. 

“I am a third generation Holmes alumna, and I am more than excited to return to my roots and work for Holmes,” Turner said. 

She is the daughter of Jackie and Tim Turner, the sister to Griffin an Lindsey Turner and the granddaughter Shirley and Jack Ables and Nell Turner and the late Levon Turner.
