Madison Cummins named Director of Admissions

Holmes Community College has named Madison Cummins as the new Director of Admissions. A longtime member of the Holmes family, Cummins brings a wealth of experience in higher education and student services to her new role.

A native of Ethel, Cummins has been a part of the Holmes team since 2019, serving in multiple roles, including STEM Project director, Development Foundation secretary, financial aid advisor and admissions representative. Her background in student support services, coupled with her leadership in academic initiatives, makes her a valuable asset to the college’s admissions department.

Cummins holds an Associate of Arts in general biology from Hinds Community College and a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in psychology from Delta State University. She earned a Master of Science in Workforce Education Leadership from Mississippi State University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi, with an expected completion date of December 2025.

Holmes has always been an important part of Cummins’ life, as both of her parents worked at the college. Now, as director of admissions, she is eager to continue serving students and helping them navigate their educational journeys.

Madison is incredibly smart and brings an exciting new energy to the Admissions team,” said Director of Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Bethany Miller. “I look forward to seeing what is ahead for the Admissions and Records Department!”

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Logan, and their dogs, Dusty and Sandy. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
