Engineering Technology students tour Steel Service in Flowood

Students from the Engineering Technology Department on Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus visited Steel Service in Flowood for an educational industry tour on April 17. The trip provided current students with a firsthand look at career opportunities available in the field and the chance to connect with successful graduates working in the industry. Former Holmes Engineering Tech students who are now employed at Steel Service helped lead the tour. The alums included Enrique Amaro, Chase Bergeron, Brandon Cothran, Paige Hough, Margie Martin and Neveah Minor.

Holmes’ Engineering Technology program prepares students for careers in fields such as manufacturing, industrial design and mechanical systems. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training, students gain the technical skills needed to enter the workforce or continue their education in engineering-related fields.
