Holmes Community College Grenada Campus is proud to announce that Phi Theta Kappa President Lexi McClain has been selected to receive the highly competitive Presidential Partnership Scholarship to attend Mississippi State University this fall.
The Presidential Partnership Scholarship is one of Mississippi State’s most distinguished awards for transfer students. Each Mississippi community and junior college may nominate only one student, with final selections made by the university’s scholarship committee. The award covers the cost of tuition for up to five semesters, provided recipients maintain academic excellence and full-time enrollment.
McClain, a pre-medicine major from Vaiden, Mississippi, will transfer to Mississippi State University to continue her academic journey as she prepares for a career in the medical field.
“I’m honored to receive this scholarship and forever grateful for the opportunities, support, and experiences Holmes has given me,” McClain said.
During her time at Holmes Community College, McClain has built an exceptional record of academic achievement and leadership. She has earned the Dean’s Scholarship and President’s List honors and was selected as Student Body Maid. She has served as President of the Student Government Association and President of Phi Theta Kappa, while also being actively involved in the Content Creator’s Club.
In addition, McClain has represented the college as a Holmes Ambassador and was named a Hall of Fame recipient, one of the highest honors awarded to Holmes students.
Following her time at Mississippi State University, McClain plans to apply to University of Mississippi Medical Center with the goal of pursuing a career in orthopedic surgery.
Holmes Community College congratulates McClain on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to seeing the impact she will make in the future.
