Holmes Community College is proud to welcome Latisha Lindsey Beasley as the new Emergency Medical Services Instructor on the Grenada Campus. A highly experienced paramedic and educator, Beasley brings over a decade of hands-on EMS experience, simulation education, and professional leadership to her role at Holmes.

A native of Indianola and graduate of Clinton High School, Beasley began her career in emergency medical services after earning her EMT certification through Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She went on to complete her paramedic degree at Holmes Community College and later received her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Mississippi School of Health-Related Professions.

Her professional journey includes roles as a paramedic across multiple Mississippi EMS providers, a communication specialist at the Mississippi Center for Emergency Services, and most recently, Simulation Coordinator for the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing. She also served as an EMS instructor at Copiah-Lincoln Community College before joining the team at Holmes in 2025.

Beasley holds numerous specialty certifications including ACLS, BLS, EVOC, and PALS, and is a certified National Registered EMT-Paramedic. She is a member of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Her contributions to healthcare education have earned her multiple accolades, including the UMMC School of Nursing’s Professional and Administrative Continued Excellence Award in 2025.

Her expertise in simulation education is widely recognized through her publications, pilot projects, and national presentations on healthcare training. She has co-led sessions at major conferences, including the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and the Mississippi Academy for Simulation Training.

Beasley is also deeply engaged in community service and outreach, having volunteered with events like UMMC’s Discovery Day, Project SEARCH, the Mosaic Summer Enrichment Program, and career expos such as Pathways2Possibilities.

Outside of her professional life, Beasley enjoys time with her close-knit family. She married Barry Beasley of Georgetown in 2003, and together they have three children: Anna Elise Arnold, Landan Beasley, and Paris Beasley. She is also a proud grandmother to Kesler and Dallen Arnold, and excitedly awaiting the arrival of grand baby Merrit in January 2026.

Holmes is thrilled to have Beasley join the Career and Technical Education team and looks forward to the wealth of knowledge and passion she brings to training the next generation of EMS professionals
