Bulldogs fare well at SkillsUSA

The SkillsUSA chapters from all three Holmes Community College campuses successfully competed in the annual competition hosted by the Mississippi Department of Education at the Jackson Convention Center March 1-2. The first place winners will be traveling to the national competition in Louisville, Kentucky, June 20-24.

The Ridgeland Campus awards included: 1st Place in First Aid, Barbara Washington;1st in Job Interview, Cameron Brown; 1st in Quiz Bowl, Crystel Sayles, Jeny Gore, Courtney York, Carmen McKey and Mandi Edwards; 2nd in Medical Terminology, Breanna Wilson; 3rd in Related Technical Math, Haley Greer, and 3rd in Extemporaneous Speaking, Lindsey Impastato.

Goodman Campus awards included: 1st Place in Nail Care, Denishia Riley; 1st in Medical Terminology, Skyla Watkins; 2nd in Collision Repair; Alex McKibben; 2nd in Cosmetology, Mary Senior; 2nd in Aesthetics, Linsay Austin-Marrelli; 2nd in Job Skills Demo Open, Sara Grace Weaver; 2nd in Job Interview, Donald Winter, and 2nd in Prepared Speech, Nicholas Robinson.

Grenada Campus winners included: 2nd Place in HVAC, Kyle Easley; 3rd in HVAC, Jeremy Graves; 3rd in Quiz Bowl, Angela Stowers, Tina Melton, Hope Golliday, Jennifer Henry and Alicyn Shaw; 3rd in Medical Terminology, Stephanie Ferguson, and 3rd in Technical Drafting, Jonathan Bell.
