RIDGELAND, Miss. — Holmes Community College welcomed Camden Dixon as an admissions representative on the Ridgeland Campus, where he will assist prospective students as they explore educational opportunities and navigate the admissions process.
A graduate of the Mississippi School of the Arts, Dixon earned his high school diploma with honors in 2019. He continued his education at Holmes, where he majored in entertainment industry studies and graduated with honors from the Goodman Campus in 2022. During his time at Holmes, he was a member of The Holmes Connection, the Coachmen Singers and the Chorale. He also received the Choral Music Award and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Following Holmes, Dixon earned a certificate in musical theatre from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York in 2023. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology with Alternate Teacher Licensure at Belhaven University.
Before coming to work at Holmes, Dixon served as a voice and acting instructor at 601 Studios and worked as a camp staff member and counselor with Summer Show-Offs. He has also volunteered with Brookhaven Little Theatre, where he has shared his passion for the performing arts and mentoring young people.
Outside of work, Dixon enjoys singing, musical theatre, directing productions, teaching voice and acting, spending time with friends, visiting theme parks and working with children and youth. He is also a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
“I am excited to begin this new chapter and step into my new role, where I can continue growing as an educator and mentor,” Dixon said. “My background in performing arts, education and working with young people has shaped my passion for creating meaningful experiences that help others build confidence and discover their talents. I look forward to contributing my creativity, leadership and dedication while continuing to learn and grow in this position.”
