The electrical lineman program at Holmes was established in 2008 and has since prepared hundreds of students for careers in the electrical utility industry. The 16-week program requires students to complete 608 clock hours of instruction, covering a wide range of hands-on and classroom training.
Coursework includes CPR/first aid and bloodborne pathogens, chainsaw safety, employability skills, truck driving, pole climbing, protective grounding, underground systems, bucket truck rescue and basic electricity. Students must hold a CDL Class A permit to participate in the program.
