RIDGELAND, Miss. — Holmes Community College alumnus David Holmes has joined the college staff as supervisor of operations for the Fitness Center on the Ridgeland Campus.
Holmes attended Holmes from 2014-16, studying pre-athletic training. He also served as a manager for the Holmes basketball program and was recognized in 2017 with the team’s Hard Working Manager Award.
Before returning to Holmes, he worked at Club4Fitness as an assistant personal trainer manager. Holmes’ experience in fitness and athletics has prepared him to lead operations at the Fitness Center and support the college’s commitment to health and wellness.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue growing within Holmes Community College and to serve my community through fitness and wellness,” he said. “My goal is to create a welcoming environment where students, faculty, staff and community members can improve their health, build confidence and develop lifelong healthy habits.”
Holmes said he is passionate about fitness, athletics and helping others reach their full potential. In his new role, he looks forward to creating an environment where members of the Holmes community can pursue their health and fitness goals.
“I look forward to continuing to learn, lead and make a positive impact through the Holmes Wellness Center,” he said.
A 2014 graduate of Williams Sullivan High School, Holmes is a member of Walden Chapel in Goodman. His hobbies include fishing, cooking, fitness and traveling.
