Holmes Community College Grenada Surgical Technology Class of 2026 Celebrates Graduation with 100% National Certification Pass Rate

The Holmes Community College Grenada Campus celebrated the achievements of six Surgical Technology graduates during its 2026 Surgical Technology Pinning Ceremony.

The ceremony recognized the graduates’ dedication, perseverance, and commitment to providing quality patient care as they prepare to enter the healthcare workforce. Family, friends, faculty, and administrators gathered to honor the graduates and celebrate this important milestone.

The program began with the Processional, followed by an invocation from Slade Redwine, Career Technical Coordinator. Leah Mitchell, CST, Surgical Technology Instructor, welcomed guests before Riley Boyd, class valedictorian, shared remarks on behalf of the graduating class.

Graduates also participated in the Surgical Technology Code of Ethics, led by Alyssa Ballentine, reaffirming their commitment to professionalism, integrity, and compassionate patient care. Leah Mitchell presented awards, certificates, and pins before Cody Hubbard delivered the benediction.

The ceremony also celebrated another significant accomplishment for the program. The Holmes Community College Surgical Technology Class of 2026 achieved a **100% pass rate on the National Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination**, demonstrating the program’s commitment to excellence and preparing students for successful careers in the operating room.

“Our students have worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone,” said instructor Leah Mitchell. “Their success on the national certification exam is a testament to their dedication, the support of their families, and the quality of education they have received at Holmes.”

Holmes Community College congratulates the Surgical Technology Class of 2026 and wishes each graduate continued success as they begin their careers serving patients and healthcare teams across the region.
