Holmes Community College’s Homecoming 2026 is set for Thursday, Oct. 22, on the Goodman Campus. Activities will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day culminating with Bulldog football against Mississippi Delta Community College at 3 p.m.
Festivities kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a Visual Arts Show in the McMorrough Library, featuring artwork from Holmes’ Visual Arts students. The library will remain open for guests throughout the day and will close at kickoff.
Alumni and families are invited to attend an open practice at 9 a.m. for the Holmes baseball and softball teams. Then at 9:15 a.m., the Lady Bulldogs will hold an open practice in the newly renovated Frank Branch Coliseum as they kick off their season.
Academic Programs and Career Technical Education will host a Career and Transfer Fair at 9:30 a.m. in the Grove under the white tent outside of McDaniel Hall providing Holmes students with opportunities to explore their future.
Workforce Development will host the Major’s Truck Expo at 10 a.m. in the Chapel parking lot. Guests can check out the large industry vehicles used by Holmes’ Workforce Development programs for training.
The Homecoming honorees will be recognized at 10 a.m. in McDaniel Auditorium. This year’s honorees include: Alumna of the Year Allison McBride Schuler of Kosciusko; Distinguished Service Award Margaret Monteith Davis of Grenada; Young Alumnus of the Year: Dr. Dudley Jacarious Moore of San Diego and Veteran of the Year Ret. Col. James Bridges of Kosciusko.
Following the recognition ceremony, the Coachmen Singers and the Holmes Connection! will perform at 10:20 a.m.
At 11 a.m., guests can enjoy fun and games in the Grove featuring activities for all ages. Lunch will also be available beginning at 11 a.m. at Carroll Cafeteria, the Lorance Student Center and from food trucks in front of McDaniel Hall.
Former Holmes basketball players will take the court at noon for the Basketball Alumni Game in Frank Branch Coliseum.
The Holmes Chorale will perform at 12:15 p.m. in the Chapel on the Hill. The Chorale performs music from a variety of periods and styles.
The Holmes tailgating experience begins at 1 p.m. on the football practice field. Alumni, departments and classes are encouraged to gather and tailgate together. The loading station closes at 1 p.m.
A feature act will take the main stage at 1 p.m. on the football practice field adding to the ultimate community college tailgating experience.
The Holmes Alumni Association Annual Meeting will be held at 1:45 p.m. in the Alumni Tent in the tailgating area. All alumni are invited to attend.
A pep rally will follow at 2 p.m. on the football practice field giving fans an opportunity to get fired up for the big game with the Holmes cheerleaders and band.
At 2:25 p.m., the Holmes Marching Band will enter Ras Branch Field. The Homecoming Court will be presented at 2:30 p.m., followed by the crowning of the Homecoming Queen.
At 2:45 p.m., the 2026 alumni honorees will be recognized on the field. The national anthem, performed by the Holmes Chorale, will follow at 2:55 p.m.
Finally, kickoff against Mississippi Delta Community College is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Ras Branch Field.
