Holmes Community College’s Crystal Southern has been named financial aid advisor and veteran’s assistant representative for the Ridgeland Campus. Previously she served as a financial aid advisor on the Goodman Campus from 2022-23 and as the switchboard operator from 2021-22.
Southern is the daughter of Vanessa S. Keys and Byron Simpson. A graduate of J.J. McClain High School (now Holmes County Consolidated High School), she is continuing her education at Holmes this fall.
Southern is involved with West Hill CME Church as well as New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga and reading.
