Holmes Grenada announces 2025 Who’s Who

The Holmes Community College Grenada Campus announced the 2025 Who’s Who recipients, which includes Mr. and Miss Holmes and Class Favorites. Mr. and Miss Holmes for the Grenada Campus are Shane Rosenthall of Grenada and Meri Brynn Reeves of Carrollton. Class Favorites include Abby Redwine of Grenada, Marla Ray McKnight of Vaiden, Edi Ann Mitchell of Greenwood, Mariyah Owens of Grenada, Emma Brasher of Grenada, John Evins of Duck Hill, Caitlynn Bingham of Kilmichael and Gracie Summers of Grenada.

Shane Rosenthall- Mr. Holmes Grenada (Sophomore, Psychology )

Shane is the son of Robert and Sandra Rosenthall. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership and academic success, serving as the secretary of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an honorary ambassador, participates in intramural sports and is an active member of student government association where he serves as vice president. His hard work has earned him a place on both the President’s and Dean’s Lists.

Meri Brynn Reeves- Miss Holmes Grenada (Sophomore, Pre-Nursing)

Meri Brynn is the daughter of Tony and Tiffiney Reeves. She has made a significant impact at HCC, serving as a Homecoming Maid and as an Ambassador for the Grenada Campus. Her determination in the classroom placed her on the Dean’s List. Her involvement in campus activities showcases her dedication to both academics and student life.

Abigail Elizabeth Redwine (Sophomore, Pre-Nursing)

Abigail is the daughter of Slade and Pamela Redwine. She is a committed student leader, serving as a student ambassador, an officer in Phi Theta Kappa, and an HCC homecoming maid. Her strong academic performance has also placed her on the President’s List.

Marla Ray McKnight (Sophomore, English)

Marla is the daughter of Bryan and Melanie McKnight. She is a well-rounded student who serves as an officer of Phi Theta Kappa, a former ambassador, and a member of the Student Government Association (SGA). Additionally, she was recognized as the 23-24 Freshman Homecoming Maid and has consistently excelled academically, making both the President’s and Dean’s Lists.

Edi-Ann Mitchell (Freshman, Biological Science)

Edi-Ann is the daughter of Scott and Rachel Mitchell. She has actively participated in the Student Government Association, the Baptist Student Union, and Phi Theta Kappa. Her involvement demonstrates her passion for academic excellence and community engagement.

John Evins (Sophomore, Kinesiology)

John is the son of  Ashley Morales and Andrew Morgan. He has shown outstanding leadership as the Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa. He is also a dedicated member of SGA, BSU, and the ambassador program, contributing to the growth and success of student life at HCC.

Emma Brasher (Sophomore, Pre-Nursing)

Emma is the daughter of  Duane and Lisa Brasher. She has been an influential leader on campus, serving as the President of Phi Theta Kappa, the President of the Student Government Association and being actively involved in the Ambassador program, SGA, and BSU. Her dedication to service and academics earned her the title of Campus Favorite 2024.

Caitlynn Bingham (Freshman, Pre-Nursing)

Caitlynn is the daughter of Ricky & Lesa Bingham. She has contributed to student life as a member of the Student Government Association and Ambassador programs. Her commitment to leadership is evident in her involvement.

Mariyah Owens (Freshman, Pre-Nursing)

Mariyah is the daughter of Lucius & Tonya Owens. She balances academics with leadership as an ambassador and a member of SGA. Her passion for student involvement is evident in her active participation.

Gracie Summers (Freshman, Pre-Nursing)

Gracie is the daughter of  Bobby and Valerie Summers. She has made her mark at HCC as a work study in the admissions office, member of the Baptist Student Union, Freshman Homecoming Court, and as a contestant in the HCC Beauty Pageant. Her engagement in campus life highlights her dedication to both personal and academic growth.

These students exemplify the spirit of Holmes Community College, demonstrating leadership, service, and academic excellence. Their contributions continue to enrich the campus community, and their recognition as Who’s Who is well deserved. Congratulations to all honorees!
