Holmes named Best Alumni Network among Mississippi community colleges by Intelligent.com

Holmes Community College was recently awarded the title of Best Alumni Network by Intelligent.com, a resource for program rankings and higher education planning. Intelligent.com’s research identifies top schools in the state based on tuition costs, the number of credits required to graduate and the online coursework delivery format.

Holmes was recognized as the college with the Best Alumni Network for a number of reasons. The college, founded in 1925, has a very active alumni association and many perks available to alums. These benefits include a house on campus, the Holmes House, which can be rented for events or overnight stays and use of the campus chapel for weddings. Alumni are also recognized annually with awards like Veteran of the Year, Outstanding Alumni, Distinguished Service Award and Sports Hall of Fame induction.

Alumni are about to have additional perks. In the future, with the opening of Bulldog Ranch, they will have an opportunity to host their events on the picturesque cattle ranch featuring a 100-acre lake. Whether alumni are in need of a wedding venue or a site for corporate events, Holmes will be able to assist them with large accommodating spaces, a full kitchen, catering and more. Coming soon Bulldog Ranch hopes to offer a place for alumni to bring their towable campers or RVs. The college plans to develop eight pull-through camping spaces, with plenty of room to spread out and the opportunity to still have water, sewer and electrical hook-ups.

Additionally, Holmes alumni now have a better way to stay in the loop with Alumni 360. The Alumni Association encourages all former Bulldogs to stay connected through this platform by visiting https://holmesccalumni.360alumni.com/#/.
