RIDGELAND — The Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus Practical Nursing Program held its pinning ceremony June 24 at 10 a.m. at Olde Towne Community Church, recognizing students completing the program.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone for nursing students as they transitioned from classroom and clinical training into professional practice in the healthcare field.
A total of 14 students were honored during the ceremony. Graduates included Abigail Alycee’ Berry, Coriyanna Monae Unique Benson, Brianne Monique Daughtery, Raigan Davis, Darby Dew, Alondra Leshay Hopson, Joni Horn, Michaela Adaya Skye Martin, Daneisha McGee, Courtney McIntyre, Akia Jamilia Montgomery, Alexandria Taylor, Roshunna Micheell’a Taylor and Janiah White.
The ceremony began with a processional of the graduates, followed by an invocation led by Darby Dew, the class vice president. Following the prayer, Ridgeland Campus Vice President Dr. Bronwyn Martin offered welcoming remarks to the audience. Coriyanna Benson, the class president, then offered remarks on behalf of the Practical Nursing Class of 2026.
