Holmes to host Electrical Lineman informational meeting in Kosciusko

KOSCIUSKO — Holmes Community College Workforce will host an Electrical Lineman informational meeting for individuals interested in enrolling in the August class on Thursday, March 19, at 5 p.m. at The Attala Center.

The meeting is mandatory for prospective students and will be held at The Attala Center, located at 620 W. Jefferson St. in Kosciusko.

Holmes’ 16-week Electrical Lineman program, established in 2008, provides hands-on training designed to prepare participants for careers in the electrical utility industry. The program consists of 608 clock hours of instruction.

Coursework includes CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens, Chainsaw Safety, Employability Skills, Truck Driving, Pole Climbing, Protective Grounding, Underground Systems, Bucket Truck Rescue and Basic Electricity.

Participants are required to obtain a CDL Class A permit prior to enrollment.
