Holmes to offer paid AWS Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship in June

Holmes Community College is now accepting registrations for its upcoming AWS Information Infrastructure Pre-Apprenticeship (I2PA), a paid, four-week training program designed to prepare participants for high-demand careers in the information economy.

The hands-on program will be held June 2–27, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Holmes McGowan Workforce Training Center in Ridgeland. Participants will work 30 hours per week and receive payment while learning essential skills in building, connecting, powering and operating digital infrastructure.

Participants will explore key elements of mission-critical building projects, including fiber optics, electrical and mechanical systems, computer servers and the software used in the design and construction of these facilities and systems. They will gain insights into high-demand careers and perform work functions typically found in real-world job settings. All materials are provided, including protective gear, supplies and a laptop computer. Trainees will have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials, including the AWS I2PA and OSHA 10 certificates.

“This program gives individuals real-world experience and exposure to the tools and technologies used in the industry,” said a program representative. “It also provides networking opportunities with AWS subject matter experts and contractors.”

For more information or to register, visit I2PA.INFO or scan the QR code on the program flyer.
