Holmes, Valley sign MOU

Holmes, Valley sign MOU

Holmes Community College and Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) finalized a partnership agreement on Wednesday, May 4, that allows the two institutions to maximize their educational resources and expertise to increase educational opportunities within the state.

The agreement will create more opportunities for academic success, specifically for Holmes students, by offering both MVSU junior and senior level courses on the Goodman Campus of Holmes. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Dr. Constance Bland, MVSU Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dr. Fran Cox, Holmes Vice President of Academic Programs, the collaboration was a no-brainer for both institutions.

Dr. Walter Roberts, Holmes Board of Trustees Vice President and Chairman of the MVSU Foundation Board is excited to see two schools that are near and dear to him join forces, "This is a blessing for a lot of students who haven't been born yet, a lot of students who are searching trying to find themselves. Here is a perfect opportunity for them to grow and be productive citizens."
