RIDGELAND, Miss. – Holmes Community College has hired Roger Aultman, a recently retired law enforcement veteran, as the newest police officer on the Ridgeland Campus. Aultman brings 30 years of full-time experience to the college, including service as an assistant chief.
A graduate of Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, the University of Southern Mississippi and Harrison County Law Enforcement Academy, Aultman retired in 2019 from the Richland Police Department, where he served as assistant chief of police.
“I worked part-time for the Holmes Campus Police Department in Ridgeland years ago and I am excited about being back,” Aultman said. “It is a great community to serve in, and I look forward to helping maintain a safe and secure environment for our students and staff.”
During his distinguished career in Richland, Aultman was recognized with the department’s Officer of the Year award and the 2019 Richland Top Cop Award.
Aultman is a member of the Law Enforcement Executive Development Association and attends Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, gardening and fishing. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons, Nick, 27, and Zack, 22.
