The Holmes Community College Yazoo Educational Center if offering a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) course Oct. 5 – Nov. 11. The 6-week, 30-hour class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
The course, which cost $25, is an instructional program that prepares individuals to work in engineering departments or private firms installing, maintaining and operating small or medium air conditioning, heating and refrigeration systems. Individuals also learn to perform special tasks relating to designing ductwork, assembly, installation, servicing, operation and maintenance of heating, cooling and refrigeration systems according to the standards of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. and Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), Air-Conditioning Heating Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and others.
