Homecoming set for Saturday, Oct. 21 Homecoming 2017 is set for Saturday, Oct. 21 on the Goodman Campus with activities starting at 9 a.m. and lasting until the final horn sounds for the Bulldogs football game with Northeast.

Honorees for 2017 include: Alumnus of the Year, Al Hankins; Distinguished Service Award, Hayes Branscome, Young Alumnus of the Year, Xan Barksdale; and Veteran of the Year, Jimmy Foster.

Activities include; alumni reunion for the 1970, 1980, 1990 and 2000 classes in McMorrough Library, 9 a.m.; softball alumni game, 9:30 a.m.; 1965 Football Team Reunion in McMorrough Library, 10 a.m.; baseball inter-squad game, art department opens and basketball scrimmage, 10:30 a.m.; honoree recognition in McDaniel Auditorium, 11 a.m.; Coachmen and Connection! Performance in McDaniel Auditorium, 11:30 a.m.; lunch in the grove, Little Bulldog Zone opens, Steel Band performance, honorees lunch with Dr. Haffey, noon; Concert Choir Performance in the Chapel on the Hill, 12:45 p.m.; annual Alumni meeting in McMorrough Library, 1 p.m.; parade, 1:30 p.m.; pep rally, 2 p.m.; band enters the stadium, 2:30 p.m.; honorees recognized on the field, 2:45 p.m.; national anthem performed by the Holmes Chorale, 2:55 p.m.; kickoff with Northeast, 3 p.m.; halftime, crowning of the Homecoming Queen and the presentation of the court.

McMorrough Library will be open to provide a cool place to sit and light refreshments. Also, the lobby of Grenada Hall and the Lorance Student Center will be open for our SEC football fans.Save
