Lindsey Turner crowned Holmes Most Beautiful 2022

Lindsey Turner of Sallis was crowned Holmes Community College’s Most Beautiful during the 2022 Parade of Beauties pageant held March 8 in McDaniel Auditorium on the Goodman Campus. She was crowned by Goodman Campus Vice President Andy Wood.

The daughter of Jackie and Tim Turner, she is a graduate of Central Holmes Christian School. She is a biological science major on the Holmes Goodman Campus who is a member of Holmes Connection!, Coachman singers and the Chorale. Additionally, she is involved in Baptist Student Union and serves as a Phi Theta Kappa officer. Turner enjoys singing, dancing, rescuing animals and spending time with family. She is also the lead singer in a wedding band called Stylish. Upon graduation from Holmes, Turner plans to attend Mississippi College, followed by medical school or optometry school.

In addition to Turner, the Top Five for Parade of Beauties included Hannah Briscoe of Grenada, Jesse Burton of Goodman, Abigail Edge of Vaughan and Hayley Haffey of Kosciusko. The Top 10 included Turner, Briscoe, Burton, Edge, Haffey, Payton Fisher of Flora, Olivia Howell of Lexington, Morgan McGlothin of French Camp, Tessa Mullins of Stewart and Kathryn Clare Schuler of Kosciusko. Burton was named Most Photogenic, as well.

The pageant included interviews with judges earlier in the day and the evening gown competition. Tina Boyette, administrative assistant to the Goodman Campus vice president, directed the pageant with student activity directors Haley DeNoon and Amanda Lindsey serving as assistant directors. Holmes alumna Nikki Merchant Boutwell served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening, and Brandon Reynolds and Paul Wood escorted the contestants. Finally, three members of the Holmes Connection! – River Burrell, Camden Dixon and Macey Steed – along with director Mike Yates, provided entertainment at intermission.
