Mason Harrell named Holmes Most Beautiful 2024

Mason Harrell of Flora was crowned Holmes Community College’s Most Beautiful during the 2024 Parade of Beauties pageant held Feb. 20 in McDaniel Auditorium on the Goodman Campus. She was crowned by 2023 Most Beautiful Allie Williamson of Grenada.

Harrell is the daughter of Hope and Kevin Ables, and Chris and Allison Harrell. A Tri-County Academy graduate, she is an elementary education major on the Goodman Campus. Harrell is also an Ambassador and President’s List Scholar. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses, hanging out with friends and family, hunting and going on mission trips. Upon graduation, Harrell plans to transfer to Delta State University to obtain her bachelor’s degree followed by earning a master’s in education.

In addition to Harrell, the Top Five Beauties included Swayze Brewer of Brandon, Taylor Estus of Madison, Meredith Meriwether of Holcomb and Leilani Montgomery of Yazoo City. The Top 10 included Harrell, Brewer, Estus, Meriwether, Montgomery, Lily Clark of Calhoun City, Claudia Ford of Brandon, Presley Fulgham of Kosciusko, Bralyn McGee of Kosciusko and Mackenzie Ward of Durant. Clark was named Most Photogenic, as well.

The pageant included interviews with judges earlier in the day and the evening gown competition. Tina Boyette, administrative assistant to the Goodman Campus vice president, directed the pageant with student activity directors Haley DeNoon and Amanda Lindsey serving as assistant directors. Recruiter Nikki Boutwell served as Mistress of Ceremonies, with Jonah Lyons and Jordan Leech escorting the contestants. Additionally, members of the Holmes Connection! show choir, under the direction of Mike Yates, provided entertainment at intermission.
