Also selected for the prestigious internship is Mercedes Warren, a pre-physician assistant major from Canton. The daughter of Alisha Warren and Laquintic Rivers, she aspires to work in a clinic as a physician assistant or join the military in the same role.
“I applied for this internship to strengthen my skills through practical experience, build meaningful connections with professionals and mentors and gain hands-on learning opportunities,” Warren said. “The internship offers challenges and experiences that will help me develop confidence, teamwork and professional maturity. It could also open doors for future employment, either with the same company or within the industry.”
After completing her studies at Holmes, Warren plans to attend Jackson State University to earn her bachelor’s degree in biology. In addition to her academic pursuits, she is also a local lash technician.
Holmes congratulates Spann and Warren on this outstanding accomplishment. Their selection for the S.P.I.C.E. internship highlights their dedication, passion and commitment to their respective fields.
