She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of New Orleans and is certified to teach K-12 elementary education and Spanish. Simon is also a member of the Mississippi Association of Adult and Community Education.
In her free time, Simon enjoys gardening, traveling and cooking. She and her husband of 25 years, Ricky, have two children: Mark (34) and Alexis (21).
“I’m originally from Louisiana, but I have been a Mississippi resident since 2006,” Simon said. “I love making a difference in my students’ lives and I am excited to join the Holmes Community College family.”
