Attala Center offers plumbing course in conjunction with Ivey Mechanical
The Holmes Community College Attala Center, in conjunction with Ivey Mechanical Company, LLC, is offering an "Introduction to Plumbing Trades" training course in the spring of 2017. The Plumbing Trades course is a 16-week course that prepares students to assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
To be admitted into the program, students must complete a two-week NCCER Core training class. The class be will be held Monday through Friday, Sept. 19-30, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Attala Center is located on 620 West Jefferson St. in Kosciusko.
Participants in the program should possess a solid work ethic, a positive attitude, and good communication, aptitude and decision-making skills. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
