Holmes Goodman Campus announces 2023 Who’s Who

The Holmes Community College Goodman Campus announced the 2023 Who’s Who recipients, which includes Mr. and Miss Holmes and Class Favorites. Mr. and Miss Holmes for the Goodman Campus are Jonathan Chase Langford of McCool and Lacey Gail Greenlee of Kosciusko.

Class Favorites include Elizabeth Julia Dorris of Yazoo City, Garian Dontre Edwards of Grenada, Kelsey Kelton Gilmore of Lexington, Hanadi Hariri of Sallis, Demeria Moore of Goodman and Bella Brooke Settlemir of Kosciusko.

Jonathan Chase Langford, son of Nancy and Jeff Langford, is a biological sciences major with a pre-dental concentration. He is president of the Kappa Alpha chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and was named a 2023 Order of the Golden Key recipient. He is also an Ambassador, Holmes Plus member and Get2College Corps member.

Langford has volunteered at Shepherd’s Touch in Kosciusko and done community service projects through Phi Theta Kappa. He has also done storm relief volunteer work through the student ambassador group and the American Red Cross. After graduating from Holmes, he plans to transfer to Mississippi State University to begin in the fall of 2023. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he hopes to attend the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s School of Dentistry to become a Doctor of Dental Medicine.

“Holmes Community College has served as a strong foundation for my educational journey,” Langford said. “I am grateful for the countless memories and connections I have made at Holmes, and the abundance of opportunities to become involved in different organizations. There truly is No Place Like Holmes!

Lacey Gail Greenlee, daughter of Amy Sims and Kirt Greenlee, is a pre-med major. She is vice president of Phi Theta Kappa and a President’s List Scholar. Greenlee is also a member of the Holmes Chorale and Holmes Connection! She is a sales associate at Holt and Company, as well. Her community service includes serving as a leader for DNOW 2023 for First Baptist Church Kosciusko and volunteering for Shepherd’s Touch in Kosciusko.

In her free time, Greenlee enjoys singing, dancing, hanging out with friends, spending time with family and watching movies and reality T.V. Upon graduation from Holmes, she plans to attend Mississippi State University to earn a bachelor’s degree in biological science. After graduating from MSU, she plans to attend University of Mississippi Medical Center to pursue a degree in medicine in hopes of becoming either an OB/GYN or pediatrician.

“I have developed so many new friendships in my time at Holmes Community College,” Greenlee said. “With that, I have gotten to witness all of the accomplishments my friends have made. Winning the Parade of Beauties, being on the Homecoming Court and advancing in academics are just a few of the many victories that I get to celebrate my friends for. I get to share in new growth and achievements every day. Having the opportunity to be so personal with my classmates is my favorite memory from Holmes.

“Holmes has treated me so well in my time here,” Greenlee said. “Multiple doors have opened for me, and I have learned so much in and outside of the classroom. I do not take these past two years for granted. Although I am so sad this chapter of my life is coming to an end, I am so excited for the future of this school and myself. There’s No Place Like Holmes!”
