Holmes Yazoo location to offer HVAC course

The Holmes Community College Yazoo County Educational Center is offering a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) course Oct.8 – Nov. 14. The six-week, 30-hour class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Preregistration runs through Oct. 1 with limited seating.
The course, which costs $35, is an instructional program that prepares individuals to work in engineering departments or private firms installing, maintaining and operating small or medium air conditioning, heating and refrigeration systems. Individuals also learn to perform special tasks relating to designing ductwork, assembly, installation, servicing, operation and maintenance of heating, cooling and refrigeration systems according to the standards of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. and Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), Air-Conditioning Heating Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), and others.
The Yazoo Center is located in the Yazoo Economic Development and Education Center at 637 East 15th Street in Yazoo City.
