Mason Smallwood of Belzoni has joined the Holmes Community College family as part of the STEM faculty on the Goodman Campus. She will serve as a biology instructor.
Smallwood was previously employed with Mississippi Delta Community College for three years, teaching Microbiology, Biology, Nutrition and Anatomy & Physiology. She holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Delta State University.
Smallwood and her husband, Justin, have an 8-month-old son named Myles and are members of First Baptist Church Inverness. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, following Mississippi State athletics and spending time with her family.
“I am so excited to be a part of the Holmes family and cannot wait to get the Fall ‘24 semester started!” Smallwood said.
