On May 9, Holmes Community College held a pinning ceremony for the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Class of 2025 in the McGowan Workforce Training Center on the Ridgeland Campus. Eight students graduated from the program.

The Class of 2025 included Aliyah Bracey of Flowood (class vice president), Brennan Clark of Forest (class president), Analeise Cook of Flowood (class public relations officer), Tanner Gardner of Flowood, Taylor Irby of Madison (class treasurer), Lindsay LaComb of Flowood, Ke’Anna Norwood of Benton and Hannah Perkins of Carthage. The OTA program is led by Program Director/Instructor Erica Fitzhugh, COTA/L, and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator Monica McDonald, COTA/L.

The ceremony began with an introduction of the faculty, administration and students, followed by a presentation of the Most Outstanding Student Award, which went to Bracey. Next, Clark stepped forward to make remarks on behalf of the Class of 2025 just before the ceremonial pinning of each graduate. Bracey returned to the podium and led her classmates in reciting the Occupational Therapy Creed, inviting all occupational therapy practitioners in attendance to recite the creed with them. Finally, Fitzhugh brought the ceremony to completion with closing remarks.
