Grenada Campus receives $75,000 donation The Holmes Community College Grenada Campus received a $75,000 donation from the Hankins Family. Owners of Hankins Lumber, Al and Lee, made the donation in honor of their father, Albert Burton Hankins, Sr. who devoted his life to the Pine Industry.
Hankins Lumber Company is located in Grenada and has been in the pine business for over 65 years. The $75,000 will benefit the Forestry Technology Program offered at the Grenada Campus of Holmes Community College. All donations made to the Holmes Development Foundation are used in areas such as instructional supplies, technology, student scholarships, faculty development, and recruitment.
