Longtime Holmes chemistry instructor Ray Rutledge touched the lives of many students seeking degrees in the medical field, and one of his former students, David Hudson, and his wife, Christy, have recently established the Ray Rutledge Memorial Science Department Fund in his memory to assist the science department on the Goodman Campus.

On-campus registration begins for second summer, fall terms

Holmes Community College began registration for the summer and fall terms at every location on April 4. Students may be advised and receive Alternate PINs to register via the Internet through Enroll Now! link on Holmes’ website http://www.holmescc.edu/. Students may also attend on-campus registration.

Taylor Bishop of Sallis, an alumnus of Holmes Community College, recently joined the staff at BorgWarner, Inc., as an engineering intern. BorgWarner is a global product leader in powertrain solutions that focuses on engine optimization and transmission and all-wheel drive technology. The company has 74 locations in 19 countries, and has brought in $8 billion in sales, according to www.borgwarner.com. Bishop joined the staff of the location in Water Valley.
