Attala Center to offer additional Spring workforce courses The Holmes Community College Attala Educational Center is excited to announce the addition of new course offerings for the spring of 2016. Located on West Jefferson Street in Kosciusko, the state-of-the-art facility will continue to serve the community through academic, workforce and community (non-credit) course offerings.

For those interested in modular computer training, the Center is offering "Module 1" on Wednesday nights from 6-8 p.m. beginning Jan. 20 and ending Feb. 17. The class will cover the following topics: Windows 7 Basics (creating folders, navigating files, saving files to external storage medium) and Excel Basics (creating worksheets and embedded charts). Taught by Teresa Trussell, the course cost $25.

For those interested in learning CPR/First Aid, a class will be held from 8:30-11 a.m. on Jan. 26 for the general public, and for health care providers only from 1-4 p.m. that same day.

On Saturday, Feb. 6, The Attala Center will hold a free Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Prep Class from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Participants must be 21 or older to attend.

The Professional Truck Driving Training program will begin on March 28. Interested persons should call the Center for more information about the course.
