On Friday, Nov. 4, Holmes Community College lineman school graduate Ben Bowman (Class of Spring 2013) and an Entergy co-worker put their training into action responding to a traffic accident near their worksite. By removing the driver of the car, performing CPR and utilizing an AED the two saved the man’s life.

The 2017 HCC Sports Hall of Fame Banquet will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 6 p.m. in Frank Branch Coliseum on the Goodman Campus.

The Holmes Community College family is saddened to learn of the passing of longtime Holmes Foundation President Dr. Donald E. Phillips. Dr. Phillips, 84, an alumnus, former athlete and coach, died on Feb. 2 at his home in Brandon.

Registration for the Spring Semester at Holmes Community College continues this week and includes six on-campus registration dates starting on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, Holmes Community College will be hosting its annual all-day Homecoming celebra­tion on the Goodman Campus. This is Holmes 91st year in existence.

Holmes Community College recently took third place in the Mississippi Community/Junior College Press Association yearbook competition.

The Attala Center of Holmes Community College (Holmes CC) and the Kosciusko Attala Partnership (KAP) are collaborating to launch Attala Works, an initiative aimed to measure, engage and enhance the workforce in Attala County.
