Holmes alumna Christin Boyette named new surgical tech instructor

Christin Boyette, has joined the Holmes Community College family as part of the Surgical Technology faculty. She will serve as an instructor and clinical coordinator on the Ridgeland Campus alongside Program Instructor Shea Coleman.

Prior to Holmes, Boyette was employed as a surgical tech at St. Dominic’s Hospital for four years. She earned First Assist certification at Meridian Institute for Surgical Assisting upon graduating with her degree in Surgical Technology from Holmes.

Boyette is the daughter-in-law of longtime Holmes employee Tina Boyette, who serves as coordinator of student activities and administrative assistant to Goodman Campus Vice President Andy Wood. She and her husband, Lane, have two daughters – Ollie Maye (7) and Stella (4) –and a baby boy on the way. The Boyettes are members of Pinelake in Madison.

In her free time, Boyette enjoys spending time with her family, coaching softball and working on her health and fitness.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach surgical technology and share the passion I have for this career with the future generations of surgical technologists here at Holmes Community College!” Boyette said.
