Holmes alumna Jordan Heflin joins the college’s staff in Ridgeland

Jordan Heflin of Florence has joined the Holmes Community College family as the administrative assistant for the Associate Degree Nursing Program on the Ridgeland Campus.

Heflin graduated from Mississippi State University in May, completing a bachelor’s degree in biology. While in Starkville, she worked part-time at a local jewelry store. In 2022, Heflin earned her associate degree from Holmes after graduating from Florence High School.

She and her husband, Josh, just got married in the spring and reside in Florence. He is also a Holmes alumnus; he played soccer for the Bulldogs from 2021-2022. The Heflins attend First Baptist Church in Florence and have an English Pointer puppy named May. In her free time, Heflin enjoys spending time with her family, taking May on walks, eating Mexican and playing pickleball with friends.

“I am so excited to be able to serve a college that cultivated so much personal growth when I was a student,” Heflin said. “There is truly ‘No Place like Holmes!’”
