Holmes Community College’s Communications and Marketing/Recruiting departments earned multiple honors at the 2025 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Awards Program, held May 20 at The Mill Conference Center on the campus of Mississippi State University in Starkville.
The CPRAM Awards recognize excellence in public relations, marketing and communications among Mississippi’s community and junior colleges, as well as its public universities. The awards program is part of the annual CPRAM Conference, which brings together PR and marketing professionals from two- and four-year colleges across the state.
Holmes team members were recognized in several categories for their outstanding work:

Maggie Robinson, graphic designer, won first place in the Social Media Post category for her “Pink Out Ridge Day” reel.

Stephanie Wood, multimedia specialist, earned second place in the New Media category for the “QEP Animation Video.”

Katherine Ellard, alumni coordinator/public relations specialist, along with Wood, received third place in the Newsletter category for Holmes’ PawPrints publication.

Jill Sowell, former Holmes graphic designer, and Wood took home third place in the Viewbook/Admissions and Recruitment Piece category for the “At a Glance Viewbook.”

Morgan Bondurant, director of marketing and recruiting, earned third place in the TV Spot category for “20 on the ACT.”
In addition to Robinson and Wood, Holmes was represented at the conference by Steve Diffey, director of communications; Mary Margaret Busby, public relations specialist; and Haley DeNoon, public relations specialist and student activities director.
Diffey and Wood will also serve on the 2025–26 CPRAM Board, as scholarship chair and two-year representative, respectively.
