In the spirit of community service and teamwork, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program visited Bull Bottom Farm on Thursday, March 20 to assist with clean-up efforts following the recent tornado. Our dedicated 1st and 2nd-year students generously volunteered their time to help restore this cherished local landmark.
This initiative was entirely voluntary, separate from class activities, and spoke to the students’ commitment to giving back to the community. Many of them have fond memories of Bull Bottom Farm in Duck Hill and recognize its significance as a family-friendly destination that has brought joy to countless visitors. Seeing the farm impacted by the storm, they immediately saw an opportunity to lend a helping hand.
The students and instructors had been in close contact with BBF owner Katie Robinson, who expressed immense gratitude and blessings for our willingness to assist in this time of need. This effort not only helped a beloved local spot but also served as a fantastic team-building experience, allowing our students to work together outside of the classroom while making a tangible difference.
We are incredibly proud of our students for stepping up and embodying the true spirit of service. Their selflessness and determination are a testament to the strong sense of community that we foster in our program. Their efforts made a meaningful impact on Bull Bottom Farm and demonstrated the power of coming together to support those in need.
