Christi Blair received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in December 2018 from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Blair is the Practical Nursing Department Chair and also serves on the Instructional Affairs Committee.

The Holmes Community College Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Friday on the Gulf Coast has been cancelled due to threat of severe weather.

Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. In this case, Holmes Community College’s Horizons yearbook placed first in the cover category in the 2018-19 Mississippi Community and Junior College Press Association yearbook competition.

On June 24-29, 2019 students and advisors from the SkillsUSA Chapter of Holmes Community College Goodman Campus attended the National SkillsUSA Competition in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Holmes Alumni Association is gearing up for their District Dog Lunches in the nine counties of Holmes’s district in the month July. These events have been organized to help alumni network and socialize with other Alumni in the area. Lunches will be dutch and start at 11 AM at each location. All Alumni and friends are welcome.

The Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus held a Pinning Ceremony for the Surgical Technology Class of 2019 on June 27 at Madison United Methodist Church. Nine students were honored, making this the largest graduating Surgical Technology class since the program’s inception on the Ridgeland Campus.

The Ridgeland Campus of Holmes Community College held a Pinning Ceremony for the graduating Practical Nursing Class of 2019 on June 20 at Broadmoor Baptist Church of Madison. Nineteen students were honored during the ceremony.

The Grenada Campus of Holmes Community College held a Pinning Ceremony for the graduating Practical Nursing Class of 2019 on June 20 in the Corey Forum on the Grenada Campus.

The Attala Center of Holmes Community College held a Pinning Ceremony for the graduating Practical Nursing Class of 2019 on June 20 at the Attala Center.

Holmes Community College’s Director of Health Science Programs Ginger Meriwether recently graduated from the Mississippi Community College Board Leadership Academy, which provides training experiences that foster collective learning and development for statewide professional career technical administrators.
