If you are testing at the Ridgeland Campus and are unable to keep your appointment due to the weather, the testing center will be open from 9 a.m. until noon on Monday, Dec. 11.

Beginning in March of 2018, Holmes Community College will be the first community college in the nation to offer PSY 2543 – Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is an online course that counts toward the 40 hours of training needed to apply for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.

They say every dog has its day and for recent Holmes alum Michael Edmonds, that day was Saturday, April 8. That was the day that Mississippi State University informed Michael, the current Holmes mascot that he had been chosen to be MSU’s Bully for the 2017-18 school year.

The Holmes Community College Surgical Technology programs on both the Grenada and Ridgeland campuses had a 100 percent pass rate on the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) exam. Holmes Surgical Technology Program Director Jessica Elliott, CST, RN, FAST, teaches the students in Grenada and Travia “Shea” Coleman, CST, B.S., teaches in Ridgeland.

Katey Switzer of Meridian, an alumna of the Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus Criminal Justice Administration Technology program, is now serving as a member of the Byram Police Department.
