Holmes Community College Workforce Development in conjunction with the Mississippi Chapter for the Association of Talent Development (ATD) will host a workshop, “Working Together Wins” in the Holmes McGowan Workforce Training Center on Thursday, June 9, from 9:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

Holmes Community College was recently ranked first place in three programs and third place in one on the 2016 Most Affordable Online Colleges and Degrees listing. Holmes ranked #1 in accounting, #1 in criminal justice, #1 in healthcare, and #3 in medical billing and coding. Holmes Community College was recently ranked 38 in the Top 50 Best Value Community Colleges of 2016 by Value Colleges (www.valuecolleges.com).

Holmes Community College released the names of students who have been named to the President’s and Dean’s list following the 2016 spring semester.

Joel C. Hill, Holmes Community College director of choral and vocal music on the Goodman Campus, was recently named a Joint Board Member and Conference Registrar for the State Chapters of both the (MMEA) Mississippi Music Educators Association and (ACDA) American Choral Directors Association.

The Ridgeland Campus of Holmes Community College held a Pinning Ceremony for the graduating Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Class of 2016 on May 11 at Ridgeland High School. A total of 20 students were honored.

Two of the Holmes Magnolia GOLD students – Johnell Hartley from the Goodman Campus and Lane McTaggart from Ridgeland – were each honored by their peers with Certificate of Achievement Awards during the last week school.

Holmes Community College Goodman Campus sophomore Taylor Adcock will receive the Lyceum Scholarship – the University of Mississippi’s highest scholarship for transfer students.

Holmes Community College will begin registration for the summer and fall term on Monday, April 4.
