The 2018 Spring Pops Concert is set for Tuesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in McDaniel Hall Auditorium on the Goodman Campus of Holmes Community College.

The Ninetieth Commencement exercises are set for Friday, May 11 in Frank Branch Coliseum on the Goodman Campus. The AA ceremony is set for 10 a.m. with the AAS/Certificate ceremony being set for 2 p.m.

Goodman Campus student Christopher Kalil and Goodman English Instructor William C. “Chad” Moorer recently were recognized as William Winter Scholars during the 29th Annual Natchez Literary and Cinema Celebration.

The Holmes Community College Indoor Drumline captured their third Mississippi Indoor Association State Championship in the last four years Friday night in Jackson.

The Goodman Campus recently had two visual arts students place first and third in painting in the Mississippi Community/Junior College Arts Instructions Association state art competition.

The 2018 HCC Sports Hall of Fame Banquet will be held on Thursday, April 26 at 6 p.m. in Frank Branch Coliseum on the Goodman Campus.

The Holmes Community College Development Foundation, Inc. Golf Classic will be held Wednesday, May 9 at Deerfield Golf Club in Madison.

The Mississippi-Louisiana Region of Phi Theta Kappa recently bestowed an honor on Goodman Campus instructor and Kappa Alpha Chapter advisor emeritus Billy Wilson by naming a lifetime achievement award after him.

Holmes Community College registration for the spring term began on Nov. 6. The college offers transferable academic courses, the Associate of Arts degree, the Associate of Applied Science degree, technical certificates and career certificates, as well as workforce training.

Academic and technical students with exemplary quality point averages are recognized at the end of the fall and spring semesters by being named to the President’s or Dean’s list. To be eligible for such recognition a student must be enrolled in at least twelve semester hours.
