Erin Jenkins named Financial Aid Specialist

Holmes alumna Erin Jenkins has been named Holmes Community College’s new financial aid specialist. She is being promoted from her current position as a student loan coordinator for the college.

Jenkins attended Holmes from 2016-2018, earning her Associate of Arts degree in 2018. After Holmes, she transferred to Mississippi State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis on business and communications in 2022. Jenkins is currently working on master’s degree in business management at Western Governors University. In her career so far, Jenkins has served as a financial aid advisor, a Veteran’s Affair School certifying official, a work-study coordinator and a student loan advisor.

In her free time, Jenkins enjoys going to dinner with friends, cooking, spending time with family, going to the golf course with her boyfriend Bennett, experiencing new places and serving the Little Lakers at Pinelake Church Madison Campus.

“I started working at Holmes as a work-study in the business office,” Jenkins said. “I think I knew then that this was where I belong. When I began working in financial aid, it was like we did not skip a beat. I instantly felt the impact this school and all the people here would have on my life. I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to grow in my role at Holmes and to be a part of the students’ path to success.”
