On Friday, April 12, Holmes Community College Goodman Campus student Christopher Coleman won second place in the SkillsUSA State Competition for Collision Repair. This was the final competition for the 2024 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference that began in March.
Coleman is a first-year student in the Collision Repair Technology program in Goodman under the instruction of Casey Caldwell. With the announcement of his silver medal, overall, Holmes won 15 awards at SkillsUSA this year: six gold medals, eight silver medals and one bronze. The six gold medal winners will go on to compete at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, June 24-28, in Atlanta.
