Her hobbies include reading, singing, and being a full-time Mama. She spends the majority of her time attending her son’s travel baseball games and her daughter’s dance competitions.

Welch and her husband, Sonny, have been married for 19 years and have two children, Logan (11) and Anna Katherine (7). She has two dogs, Darla, a black lab and Hazel, a sheep-a-doodle.

“I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a nurse, and I have always loved the profession and the work I have done up until this point but having the opportunity to become a Nurse Educator has opened my eyes to a whole new world of nursing,” Welch said. “I feel I have truly found my calling in life. My goal is to impact the lives of as many future nurses as I can by teaching them and instilling in them the value of caring for others and how important it is to love the work you do and take pride in it. I am so excited and truly honored to have joined the Holmes Community College team.”
