Ridgeland Campus’ Phi Theta Kappa Chapter has taken on the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems as their Honors in Action project for this year and recently published an article in the American Civil Liberties Union on drone awareness.

Holmes Community College recently acquired the approximately 25,000-square-feet building that formerly housed Fitness Lady, as well as roughly four acres of prime I-55 Frontage Road access, to expand the territory of the Ridgeland Campus.

The Holmes Community College Ridgeland Campus Social and Behavioral Sciences Department, in conjunction with the Madison County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., hosted a World Aids Day event on Dec. 1 in the McGowan Workforce Training Building.

The students selected for the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program to begin in Grenada in January 2016 met recently for a daylong orientation to become acquainted with the instructors and with one another.

There was no shortage of faculty, staff, students, friends, and family members present to wish the honoree well during the dedication ceremony for Donald E. Phillips Hall held at the Grenada Center of Holmes Community College November 6. Not surprising, considering the dedication and love Dr. Don Phillips has for Holmes.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) has awarded a $500 scholarship to Jalyn J. Baker, a student at Holmes Community College in Goodman.

The Holmes Community College Grenada Center received a $75,000 donation from the Hankins Family. Owners of Hankins Lumber, Al and Lee, made the donation in honor of their father, Albert Burton Hankins, Sr. who devoted his life to the Pine Industry.
